Suzuki Swift > DDB
When you walk down the street, cars are very similar, they have this kind of camouflage that makes them disappear in the city.
Until you find the new Suzuki Swift, it’s designed to make you stand out from the “invisible car syndrome”.
The agency had a very straight concept, based in the graphic work they developed for the print campaign. I really loved the script and the idea.
The first challenge was to be able to shoot and have the spot ready in only two weeks, so, there was no time for building “real” cars, my answer: build them in CGI.
Next challenge, the extremely tight budget. They told me client loved the idea but they weren’t planning a TV campaign for this year.
So I proposed to shoot it in just one day using a couple of Canons and having MstudioPost to accomplish the task on schedule. It was my fist time using HDSLRs to shoot a commercial project, I think it was the best (maybe only) choice.

We built the cars having the backgrounds as reference, took lots of pictures on shooting and used it for real texturing for the cars.
And, the “grass covered man” it’s green screen suit dressed actor.

Filmed on location, Canon 7D & Canon 5D MKII, Canon and Angenieux Lenses, post in HD.
